like many of the best teas that hail from the assam region of india, our organic assam sessa/hajua has a copper color, medium tannins and a pronounced malt flavor. unlike most assam teas of comparable quality, it is remarkably sweet with floral notes and a cola-like depth. brew it strong (more tealeaves, five minutes) and add milk and sugar, or brew it normally (one teaspoon tealeaves, four minutes) for a mellower flavor that’s delicious on its own.
